In a recent conversation with Victor Ykoruk of Pinnacle Ridge Winery, we learned that he's partnering up with Local Tap to bring a fun filled day to Lansdale for a great cause; Autism Awareness.
Victors’ sons, Jack and Ryan, we’re diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum at a young age. At that time CHOP, Jefferson and other facilities were working with Eagles Owner Jeffrey Lurie on raising money for Autism Awareness with the Huddle Up event. Not long after that, Lurie created The Eagles Autism Challenge, and Victor was all in.
After weeks of hard work, Victor had a team together, and they began raising money, a lot of money. Since then, his team has grown. In fact, he has one of the largest participating teams (24 runners) in the event for the past 6 years. His team covers everyone from local business owners, health and fitness trainers, and even educators in the district have joined team JackRyan recently in support. Last years event was scheduled on Saint Patrick's Day right as the world shut down. Victor hopes that this years event will bring the community out together again, as it did before.
The event is being held at Local Tap, which is located at 527 South Broad Street Lansdale, PA, on Sunday, August 8 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.. There will be raffles for Eagles autographed items, kids games, drink specials, and a food truck. Mark your calendars Lansdale, let’s come together and support this wonderful cause. We’ll see you there. We will update you on this event as we get closer to the day. In the meantime here’s a link to donate if you cannot make the event!
Victor also updated us on the progress of the Pinnacle Ridge Tasting room going on Susquehanna Ave. “Things are progressing as well as they can in this climate, but soon enough residents will receive a sign from us….. Stay Tuned.
