LANSDALE, PA> On a warm and humid Sunday afternoon this past week, people lined up at the Kugel Ball and gathered with hugs and smiles for the 2021 Pride Walk. Lansdale is a town of love.
Organizer Kyle McCarthy, a local Lansdale icon, was seen about town handing out flyers and getting support. Businesses like Well Crafted Beer Company, Round Guys Brewing Company, Stove and Tap, Lansdale Tavern, Blueprint Brewing Company, and McAllister Brewing Company all joined in the effort to help and promote the event.
The excitement grew as time grew closer to the walk. Headway Art Collective, and hundreds of others lined Main Street in Lansdale. Family, friends, cars driving by beeping and waving in support gave an energy boost to all.
The walk ended back where it started, with people smiling and hugging. Waves of good-byes and thank you could be heard. In a brief conversation with Mayor Herbert, he agreed that Lansdale continues to progress. Having community leaders like Kyle is key to what makes Lansdale. Also, a huge shout out to the Lansdale Police Department who cruised around the walk route to ensure the safety of all.
